Ada Lovelace Day Blog Event 24 March 2009

A fellow blogger has alerted me to the upcoming Ada Lovelace Day. The idea is that on 24 March, at least 1,000 bloggers publish a post about a female technology/science heroine. Ada Lovelace is known as the ‘first programmer’ in history.

The event was conceived to combat the continuing feelings of disempowerment of women in technology by creating positive role-models. More about the background of the event can be found here.
