Subatomic Writing
A friend of mine sent me this today (thanks, Richard!). Stanford University’s initials were written in patterns of electron waves which are produced by rearranging carbon monoxide molecules on copper. There is an article about it here. What is amazing is that through what seems like a pretty unstable process (dubbed ‘Electronic Quantum Holography’) data can be encoded and retrieved.
