I came across this ‘mutable jacket’ by accident today. It is from a project by designer Rohan Chhabra called ‘Embodying Ethics’. Chhabra describes his collection as ‘socially responsive design’, intended to ‘question ethics, create dilemma, provoke debate and raise awareness’. Other items in his collection are a pair of trousers which transform into a shape that would fit a cowleg, a sheepskin bag whose interior pockets resemble sheep organs, and a chair cover that turns into a tree-shaped ‘shadow’. Perfect clothing (and thinking) items for fellow (non-)human geographers…
